Mathew 14:24
The enemy would like nothing better than to sift you as wheat. This could not be truer as we get closer to our goals. He will try to break you or make you think you can be broken. However, the God in you is much more powerful than anything tricks of the enemy.
Apply these principles to a scripture that you can meditate and focus on.
a. Pour over the passage and meditate and paraphrase the word.
b. Pull out the spiritual principles. What does this mean?
c. Pose the question: Am I living in the purpose? Is my attitude congruent with that principle? Am I living in that promise?
d. Plan obedience and set a date
(I give Pricilla Shirer credit for these principals)
Mathew 14:24 is a very familiar story about the disciples in the boat facing the storm, they thought without Jesus. The boat was far out to sea when the wind came against them and they were battered by the waves. About four o’clock in the morning Jesus came toward them walking on the water. they were scared out of their wits. Jesus was quick to comfort them, “Courage, its’s me. Don’t be afraid.” A scripture as short as this will comfort. My favorite is Mark 5:36, “Jesus overheard what people were saying and said to Jairus, the leader ‘Don’t listen to them; just trust me.”
Do not allow the enemy to steal your peace. God is much more powerful than any tricks or deception of the enemy. Let God reign over your thoughts.
