20: 20 Vision

Close the gate to visual disturbance, concepts that feed fear.

Who empowers your vision? Choose the vision of Jesus. His vision of us is the only one we can trust. He says we are wonderfully made and nothing can separate us from His love.

In Romans 8:38 (NIV) Paul says, “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, angels nor demons, the present nor the future, nor any powers, height nor depth, not anything in all creation will be able to separate us from the Love of God, that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Contrasting fear, trust: confidence that we can rely on Him as our source. He is the source of every need. Maintain the vision of Jesus, 20:20 vision.

When our vision is distorted, our focus is not healthy. We are not seeing life clearly. View life through God’s vision. His view is accurate. His vision is the only one we can trust.

Holy Spirit you are enough in any storm. Yes, the Spirit of Jesus is with us, walking us through the storms of life. His vision is the only one we can trust.

Dependable by Travis Greene is a wonderful testament to God’s faithfulness.

“Thank you for saving me and loving me too much to leave. You are not just a God who saves; You are so much more. You are the one who remains the same. Every high and low of life, You’ll stay always; I can count on you. Your love is not temporary, up and down, in and out. Your love is limitless. You are dependable, God. I can count on you!”

God will use every situation to His glory. I heard someone say recently, some pain now so that we can really live. There is always pain in life, but we know it is only momentary. Jesus came that we should have abundant life, not just in heaven but on earth. He will keep us through the life’s storms.

Lean not to our own understanding.

Proverbs 3: 5-6 (NKJV) “Trust God from the bottom of your hearts; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; He’s the one who will keep you on track.” God is purposeful; therefore, we must be purposeful in all we do.

Guarding our ear and eye gates is synonymous with the concept of guarding our hearts.  Proverb 4:23 (NIT) says, “Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.” Just as a rutter directs a ship, our tongues direct the direction of our lives. Choose God’s vision, it’s the only one we can trust.

Keep Watch

When we focus and speak negatively, our focus is blurred and we direct our lives down an undesirable path.

In Psalm 39:1 (MGS) David says,” I am determined to watch steps and tongue so they won’t land me in trouble. I decided to hold my tongue as long as wicked is in the room.” Therefore, we must always watch our tongues because wicked is always in the room looking for an inroad into our thoughts.

1 Peter 5:8 (NLT) “Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking or someone to devour. Yes, He prowls like a roaring lion, but he is NOT. God has given His angels charge over us to keep us in all our ways. Satan only has the power we give him. We are in charge of our our vision, maintain 20:20.

We are protected! Psalm 91 is the prayer of protection. Psalm 91: 1-2 (MSG) says, “You who sit down in the High God’s presence, spend the night in Shaddai’s shadow, Say this: ‘God you’re my refuge. I trust in you and I am safe’.” Keep your vision focused on the truth of God.

David says in Psalm 34, “I bless God every chance I get; my lungs expand with His praise.”

Maintain thoughts of God’s faithfulness, keep gratitude and thankfulness in full view. His protection, grace and mercy are always toward us. Choose gratitude! Decide thankfulness! That rutter will direct our lives to the path God wants for us, a life of love, peace, joy, health, praise.

Heavenly forecast: Your former days will be greater than your past. Expect God’s goodness. God is always looking to increase us. We increase even in death, for He is not only with us but our spirits are forever with Him.
