Marching Through Life’s Challenges

As a health care professional for 30 years, I have experienced and witnessed many health encounters which have promoted  opportunities for growth. In reflection, I have had many opportunities for personal growth. Opposition brings opportunity for growth.

While completing a doctorate in nursing, I encountered opposition. I started postgraduate education when my youngest child was completing high school and starting university. I had concerns about costs to be incurred simultaneously. With God’s grace toward us, we completed our degrees in the same year.

In completing a required doctoral project, increased coping mechanisms were required were to be successful. Spending time in prayer and communion with my Heavenly Father gave me the strength to complete the constant revisions required.

Communion brings peace of mind. Knowing that Jesus loves us so much He laid down his life, that we might have life abundantly. Over the years, I personally have received healing from chronic diseases: hypertension, prediabetes, being overweight, a diagnosis of calcifications in my breasts, ovarian cysts that were all benign, Fuchs’ dystrophy (thickening of the optical corneas), irregular heartbeat. Healing and deliverance require a lifestyle of believing.

In Holy Communion, I feel healing and restoration not only for myself, but I also visualize any diseased states of my loved ones on the stripe of Jesus’ body! He paid the price for our healing and deliverance.

Inspiration

Mark 14:22-25 (MSG) “In the course of their meal, having taken and blessed the bread, he broke it and gave it to them, Then He said, ‘Take, this is my body.’ Taking the chalice, He gave it to them, thanking God, and they all drank from it. He said, this is my blood, God’s new covenant, poured out for my people’.”
