Prayer and empathy for our advisories

Jesus reminds us in the earlier commandments “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.” God wants us to have and promote justice and mercy.

Further, Peter writes, 9 “Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.” (1 Peter 3:9 NIV)

I must admit that the 45th presidential term, was distressing to just to look at Donald Trump’s face. His misrepresentation of the truth infuriated me. However, exasperation is a poor coping response to any situation, especially without counteractions. This is a classic example of how distain for someone only hurts the disdainer.  I was drinking poison expecting someone else to die.

A positive coping strategy:

  1. Stay abreast of opponent’s efforts to thwart ancestors’ achievements, that afforded today’s opportunities.
  2.  Delve more into history, that the right wing wants erased and forgotten.
  3.  Oppose MAGA 2025
  4.  Participate in empowerment efforts to strive forward, and not be taken backward.

These things we do in love. Jesus’ command is to love. When we love others, we love ourselves. Love is nourishment and hate fosters disease and destruction. Empowerment also fosters love; we are empowered by the blood of Jesus and the word of our testimonies.

“They defeated him through the blood of the Lamb and the bold word of their witness. They weren’t in love with themselves; they were willing to die for Christ. 12 So rejoice, O Heavens, and all who live there, but doom to earth and sea, for the Devil’s come down on you with both feet; he’s had a great fall; He’s wild and raging with anger; he hasn’t much time and he knows it.” (Revelation 12:11c-12 MSG) Dr. King practiced this concept.

My prayer for Donald Trump and his administration: Father, please touch the hearts of Donald Trump and his administration that they may begin to make positive decisions for the entire population of the United States of America. Please speak to the little boy inside Donald that was wounded and manipulated by his father to let him know how much you care about him and his actions. Let him feel the love you have for him. You see the entire picture and the foundation for his deviant behaviors. Amen

While God loves us all, He also loves Justice. “The wicked plot against the righteous and grit their teeth at them; 13 but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming. (Psalms 37:12c-13 NIV) Who are the righteous? Paul says, “We are not found righteous of ourselves, but through our faith in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:9)

I gained modest insight watching an analysis of Donald’s life story. Trump’s father, Frederick C. Trump Sr. (October 11, 1905 – June 25, 1999) an American real-estate developer and businessman. He was the father of the 45th and 47th U.S. president, Donald Trump. (http://people.com.politics.)

Trump Sr. did not favor Donald and a was harsh and forbidding. Trump had 4 siblings. His elderest brother Frederick Trump, Jr. (October 14, 1938-September 26, 1962) was the original heir to the Trump empire. However, Jr. had contradictory life goals and became an airline pilot against his father’s wishes. Sr. belittled his occupational choice. Jr. later became an alcoholic and maintenance worker, (The Washington Post). Donald, the youngest sibling, joined their father’s efforts to destroy his brother emotionally; therefore, Donald won his father’s favor and inheritor of the domain.

Donald’s father is deceased; (developing Alzheimer’s dementia at age 86) however, his influence still reigns over Donald. Frederick, III, grandson. is quoted as seeing the same signs of dementia in Donald, witnessed in his grandfather. http://people.com.politics. It appears that Donald may have inherited more that the empire.

The pressure from gaslighting and manipulation by Sr. and Donald, emotionally devastated Jr.. The theory behind this behavioral effect, has little to do with the targeted person, more the insecurity of the people executing these actions. One would think while implementing such a plan the conscious would deter the behavior, but no. These people seem to get an adrenaline rush from hurting others.

An “adrenaline rush from hurting someone” can occur when a person experiences a surge of adrenaline due to the stress and excitement of a violent act, essentially triggering the body’s “fight or flight” response, often associated with feelings of power, dominance, and control, even though it is considered harmful and an unhealthy behavior. People only get this gratification when it elicits a response in others of hurt or discomfort. This sense of power is what a rapist or thief, feels. It’s the “rush”, more than the money or sex. People that gaslight have the same deviant behavioral affect. Why do I get a thrill-like adrenaline rush when I see people upset/sad? – Quora

Experiencing a thrill-like adrenaline rush when witnessing others in distress can be attributed to several psychological and physiological factors:

  1. Empathy and Mirror Neurons: Humans are wired to empathize with others. When you see someone upset, your brain may activate mirror neurons, which can create a strong emotional response. This can lead to a mix of concern and excitement, depending on your personality and the context.
  2. Adrenaline Response: Witnessing strong emotions can trigger your body’s fight-or-flight response, releasing adrenaline. This can create a rush of energy, making you feel more alert and alive.
  3. Social Dynamics: In some cases, people may feel a sense of excitement from the drama of a situation. This can be linked to social bonding or the thrill of engaging with intense emotions, which can be captivating.
  4. Risk and Reward: Some individuals may find that witnessing or engaging in emotionally charged situations provides a sense of risk that is exhilarating. This can be similar to the thrill-seeking behavior seen in adventure sports.
  5. Personal Background: Your past experiences and personality traits play a significant role. If you have a history of enjoying dramatic situations or have developed a coping mechanism around distress, this could amplify your thrill response.

If this response feels uncomfortable or confusing, it might be worth exploring these feelings further, potentially with a mental health professional. Understanding your emotional responses can lead to greater self-awareness and emotional intelligence. Why do I get a thrill-like adrenaline rush when I see people upset/sad? – Quora  Evil gives an illusionary promise of joy; as Satan tried with Jesus in the dessert during 40 days of prayer and fasting.

Jesus spent 40 days in the desert immediately following his baptism, where he fasted and was tempted by the devil, a period often referred to as “the Temptation of Christ” in the Gospels. This event is considered a significant part of Jesus’ preparation for his ministry, and demonstration of his strength and unwavering faith against Satan’s enticements. The First Sunday of Lent: Jesus is tempted in the desertMarquette Universityhttps://www.marquette.edu › faith › reflections-lent-1

Matthew 4:1-11 | NIV gives a detailed description of this event.  The significance of the story about the struggles and challenges that Jesus faced in the 40 days of temptation mirrors the same struggles humans face in their spiritual lives. Jesus’ victory over temptation serves as an example of how to overcome adversity through faith.

Donald Trump has free will, the only way he will develop empathy, is by a miracle of God. We must continue to pray; through faith and action miracles are manifested. Simply believing in something without taking action on that belief is insincere. True faith should be apparent through actions and deeds, not just words or thoughts alone.
